Falling Out Of Failure

My oldest son moved away from home seven years ago. When I say away I'm not talking across the country, across town or even across the street. He moved right in my yard. His family has grown over the years. He left alone but now has a wife and three children. They are going to stay where they are for a while because the baby sitter lives close by. My husband and I try to watch out for them. Early yesterday morning I saw my son's bulldog push their front door open with his nose. The dog is smart enough to open it but hasn't learned to shut it yet. I am so glad that I was looking at that door on that house in my yard yesterday. The youngest baby has just turned one year old. He's walking and talking some and trying to do everything that he sees his big brothers do. I saw the bulldog go in and I saw the baby's hand come out. The doorway is pretty high off the ground. There is no porch, just steps. If he fell I knew it wouldn't be good. I just started running as fast as I could. I was afraid to call his name and say no because I thought that would just make him come toward me. I just kept on running and simply said, "Jesus". You know that's all I needed to say. I reached the steps and reached out my arms and saved him from falling,

I went in and found that the "big brother" (age3) had gotten up and gotten the baby out of his crib to play. It is so hard to watch someone we love like a child or a grandchild fall or begin to fall, putting themselves in physical danger. You know when we, God's children, are falling down spiritually into the dangers of this world He tries to save us just as quickly as we try to save our babies.

Matthew 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him.

Whatever failure we might be facing God is always there ready to pick us up and save us.

Psalm 20:6 Now I know the Lord saveth his anointed he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand, some trust in chariots, some in horses, but we will remember the name of our Lord God.

If you are fearful of failure remember who you have holding your hand.

Isaiah 41:13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand saying unto thee fear not I will help thee.

It breaks his heart when we do fail and go astray but he forgives us.

Luke 23:34 Then Jesus said Father forgive them for they know not what they do.

He is at the Father's right hand praying, interceding, and longing to save us.

Romans 8:34 It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God who also maketh intercession for us.

If you are about to fall, if you have already fallen, remember who you have watching over you. He's right there in your yard, in your home, wherever you might be; ready to catch you, ready to lift you up into his arms, ready to save you.
